1) Approval of minutes taken from meeting held 5/9.

2) Introduction of an ordinance for the purchase of polyethylene gas pipe to be used for various projects. Bids to be opened 5/23.

3) Introduction of an ordinance amending Section 26-84 (k) and adding Section 26-84 (l) of the City Code concerning decorative street lighting in all new developments.

4) Introduction of an ordinance revising and amending Chapter 28 by adding “Article X. Disaster Relief Temporary Housing” in the City Code.

5) Introduction of an ordinance revising and amending Chapter 28 of the City Code relating to miscellaneous subdivision and site development standards.

6) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to appoint a new designee as the Cafeteria Plan Administrator, HIPAA Privacy Officer and the HIPAA Security Official to be effective July 1, 2006.

7) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to amend the Substance Abuse Policy to appoint a new designee to be effective July 1, 2006.

8) Introduction of an ordinance amending the 2006/2007 operating budget for the Human Resources department.

9) Introduction of an ordinance amending the 2006/2007 operating budget for FEMA Fire Grant.

10) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the proceeds from a FEMA Fire Act Grant for vehicle exhaust removal systems in all fire stations.

11) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing Engineering Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for Southern Heights Subdivision drainage improvements.

12) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing acceptance of street and drainage improvements for West Pointe on the Bayou, Phase 10 & 11.

13) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing acceptance of a donation of a 15’ wide utility servitude located on Lots 7 & 8 of H.N. Goff Addition.

14) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Alexandria Police department to receive monies from the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement for the purpose of educating the youth on the dangers of firearm use.

15) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Alexandria Police department to receive monies from the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement to cover overtime hours for off-duty officers to focus on traffic violations during the summer months.

16) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Jefferson Parish to piggy-back Proposal No. 50-70786 for sewer line rehabilitation purposes.

17) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Towers Perrin for actuarial services for the Risk Management Fund.

18) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a cooperative endeavor agreement with ASH Sports Camp to provide athletic activities for the city’s youth to be held June 5 – August 4, 2006.

19) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a cooperative endeavor agreement with the Chamber of Commerce to promote economic development and employment for the City.

20) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a cooperative endeavor agreement with the Alexandria Metropolitan Foundation to promote economic development and employment for the City.

21) RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to submit and accept a Federal Transit Administration grant for capital, planning and operating assistance for the City’s transit system.

22) RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to sign authorization forms for the Federal Transit Administration as required for the operation of the electronic grant management system.

23) RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for treated wood poles for the Electric Distribution department.

24) RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for single phase polemount transformers.

G. ORDINANCES FOR FINAL ADOPTION
SUBJECT TO PUBLIC HEARING

25) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for tenon top street light poles and vertical luminaries for the Electric Distribution department. Bids to be opened 5/23.

26) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for steel plan files, expandable file carts & accessories for use by the Engineering department.

27) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contractual agreement and amendment to the agreement with CrossTex LIG, LLC for transportation of natural gas in the State of Louisiana.

28) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the acceptance of a temporary construction servitude, a 5’ and a 15’ utility servitude located in Evarist Michiels Subdivision from Walker Family Investments, LLC.

29) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing acceptance of a subdivision plat for Commercial Center Subdivision, Phase IV, Lots 9 & 10.

30) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to extend a General Services Agreement with Altec Environmental Consultants, Inc. to February 1, 2007.

31) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a written cooperative endeavor agreement with Truevine Missionary Church Foundation to provide recreational swimming and/or swimming lessons at Peabody Magnet High School beginning June 5, 2006 to July 28, 2006.

32) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a written cooperative endeavor agreement with the YMCA of Central Louisiana to provide a summer recreational swimming program for the City’s youth beginning June 5-July 28, 2006.

33) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a written cooperative endeavor agreement with the National Pan-Hellenic Council to support the Juneteenth Celebration to be held June 11-18, 2006 for the purpose of recognizing and celebrating the emancipation of slaves.

34) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the private sale of 10 acres pursuant to R.S. 33:4712.

35) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the acceptance of a 20’ wide drainage and utility servitude located in Experiment Plantation from Northport properties partnership.

36) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing accepting the dedication of two utility servitudes in Lots 3 & 4 of Riverview Acres Subdivision.

37) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the acquisition of various sewer utility servitudes in connection with the Hwy. 29 West project and rescinding the acquisition of parcels 10 and 11 from Mary Ann Brame individually previously authorized by Ordinance No. 247-2005.
