1) Approval of minutes taken from meeting held 9/12.

2) Introduction of an ordinance for laboratory improvements at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Bids to be opened 9/26.

3) Introduction of an ordinance amending the 2006/2007 operating budget for Systems Analyst in the Budget department.

4) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Alexandria Police Department to receive monies from the Department of Justice pertaining to gun violence.

5) Introduction of an ordinance renaming Grove Road to Grove Lane as requested by the street residents.

6) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Rapides Parish Sewer District No. 1.

7) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into contracts with Otis Elevator, Kone Elevator and Schindler Elevator for preventive and full maintenance service for various passenger elevators in city facilities.

8) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into contracts with Berg Mechanical and ACA for preventive and full maintenance service for various HVAC in city facilities.

9) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract between the City and Crossroads Soccer Association.

11) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the lowest quote receive for vehicle windshields and glass for the Parts Warehouse.

12) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for asbestos abatement at Convention Hall and various small projects.

13) Introduction of an ordinance amending Section 13-21 of the Alexandria City Code relative to smoking and smokeless tobacco prohibited in buildings, facilities and vehicles owned or leased by the City.

14) Introduction of an ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 2-23 of the Alexandria City Code relative to council meetings and rules, committee meetings, public comment on ordinance and resolutions heard therein.(REFER TO LEGAL)

15) Introduction of an ordinance amending Chapter 16 of the City Code adding Article IV creating a commission to serve as advisors to the Mayor, members of his/her administration and the Council regarding capital development and the formulation of educational, recreational, social and cultural cooperative programs under the auspices of Alexandria Recreational and Educational Programs (AREP).

16) RESOLUTION approving the by-laws of the Alexandria Historical Preservation District Commission pursuant to Section 26-57 (b) of the Alexandria City Code.

17) RESOLUTION authorizing the reappointments of the present commissioners to the Alexandria Port Authority.

18) RESOLUTION authorizing the Water and Wastewater departments to accept, maintain and operate the proposed water and sanitary sewer improvements for Silver Leaf Estates Subdivision.

19) RESOLUTION authorizing the Water and Wastewater departments to accept, maintain and operate the proposed water and sanitary sewer improvements for Pin Oak Subdivision.

20) RESOLUTION authorizing the Water and Wastewater department to accept, maintain and operate the proposed water and sanitary sewer improvements for Oak Park Subdivision.

21) RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for concealable soft body armor vests for the Alexandria Police department.

26) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the highest quote received for sale of scrap metal & surplus batteries.

27) To consider final adoption of an ordinance adding Article III. Backflow and Cross Connections to the City Code.

28) To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending Section 26-84 (l) and adding Section 26-84 (m) to the City Code pertaining to cost of installing street lights on privately owned streets.

29) To consider final adoption of an ordinance adding Article X, Section 28-10.1, 10.2 and 10.3 to the City Code pertaining to street lights.

30) To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending 06/07 operating budget for Secretary in City Court.

31) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute a lease agreement with Chandler Corporation for the use of office space at 3700 Government Street.

36) To consider final adoption of an ordinance revoking a portion of a 25’ drainage and utility servitude located in Lot 10 of Alsace Lorraine Subdivision.
