The Council of the City of Alexandria, Louisiana, met in special meeting session at its regular meeting place, on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at 2:30 P.M. There were present the Honorable Everett C. Hobbs, Jonathan D. Goins, Chuck Fowler, Harry B. Silver, Roosevelt Johnson and Myron K. Lawson. Absent was Ed Larvadain, III. Also present were City Attorney Chuck Johnson, Assistant City Attorney Trey Gist and City Clerk Nancy L. Thiels.

The Council of the City of Alexandria, State of Louisiana, was duly convened as the governing authority of said City by the Honorable Myron K. Lawson, who stated that the Council was ready for the transaction of business.

EXECUTIVE SESSION PURSUANT TO R.S. 42:6.1 (A) (2) ON THE FOLLOWING ITEM

The items on the agenda were as follows:

1) To hear from the City Attorney regarding status of the Cleco case and other related matters, Docket #05-1121-A.
2) To hear from the City Attorney regarding Joseph Henry vs. City of Alexandria, Case # 234216.

A motion was made by Mr. Fowler, seconded by Mr. Silver to go into Executive Session with a roll call vote as follows:

YEAS: Fowler, Goins, Silver, Hobbs, Lawson, Johnson.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Larvadain.

The meeting was recessed.

The meeting was called back to order with a motion made by Mr. Fowler and seconded by Mr. Hobbs to come out of Executive Session. A roll call vote was taken and resulted as follows:

YEAS: Fowler, Larvadain, Goins, Silver, Hobbs, Lawson, Johnson.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: None.

The President asked for any other business, there being no further business to come before the Council, on motion properly seconded, the meeting was adjourned.
