4/21/2004 Speed Hump Exemptions
  The following streets are exempt from street humps: Hudson Blvd., Willow Glen Rd., Lincoln Rd., Broadway Ave., Lee Street, Overton Street, Mason Street, Masonic Dr., Texas Ave., Jackson St., Elliott St., Murray St., Monroe St., Rapides Ave., Heyman Lane, Horseshoe Dr., Culpepper Rd., Memorial Dr., North Drive (Business), Dorchester, Gus Kaplan Dr., Peterman Dr., Metro Dr., Sterkx Rd., Bolton Ave. These streets are considered major thoroughfares and DO NOT qualify for the Speed Hump Program.

The City of Alexandria Traffic Department is responsible for:

  • Traffic Signals
  • Signs and Repairs
  • Speed Humps and Petitions for Speed Humps
