Ignite The Mic Alexandria is a local and privately funded creative initiative centered around unity, inclusion, diversity, and healing through the arts. The purpose of this event is to promote the creation and performance of art that engages communities and provides a platform for voices to be heard.

The Kent Plantation House annual Spring Herb Day and Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM. We will be featuring vendors selling herbs, flowers, art, crafts, jewelry, garden decor, home made baked goods and more. Plan now to attend. The Alexandria Museum of Art is pleased to announce it is opening its doors to the galleries on the first Monday of each month for those with disabilities for
private, stress-free viewing of the exhibits, free of charge.

While those with special needs are welcome any business day, this dedicated day offers specialized interactives for hands-on learning, creative inspiration and
engagement as well as communication tools. Communication cards and social stories are available for download from the AMoA website to prepare for your visit.

CENLA Art Odyssey is a digitally interactive fundraising event jam-packed with art and adventure throughout Central Louisiana in keeping with current social distancing guidelines. Odyssey Teams will use their physical, mental and creative skills to complete a series of challenges and race to discover the origin of the mysterious ARTifact.

Your mission is simple - complete the series of challenges, solve the final puzzle and report your findings to mission control. Assemble your team, adventure awaits!

Inspired by the kinetic sculpture of Lin Emory, displayed in the parking lot of AMoA, participants will learn how to create their own whirring and spinning sculptures. This class is appropriate for family and friends who are like family.

Join AMoA to Light UP Art Walk! Everyone is welcomed to walk with us. You are welcomed to carry or wear your own illuminated creations or contact us early if you’d like to volunteer to help us carry and wear sculptures and costumes created by AMoA staff and friends. We’ll also have a few small luminaries to let you borrow for the procession on a first come first serve basis. Want to make your own luminary? Join Cindy Blair and Nancy Noles for the FREE Community Luminary Project on Thursday, September 19 at 6 pm.

Louisiana Craft Beer breweries will meet up once again in Alexandria, Louisiana to share their brews with you, and go head-to-head in multiple categories, and you pick the winners! Praised as one of the top beer events in Louisiana, our annual Craft Brews, BBQ, & Blues Summer fundraiser, featuring CENLA’s original Craft Beer competition, returns on August 17, 2019.
