Council Committee Schedule - 2011-04-05

This is the committee meeting schedule that will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in the City Council Chambers.  All Council committee meeting shall begin at 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise designated. 

Economic Development Committee meeting at 3:00 p.m.

1. To hear an update from a representative from the Alexandria/Pineville Area Convention Visitors Bureau concerning marketing for the City of Alexandria. 

Legal Committee meeting at 3:30 p.m. or immediately following

1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing payment of Thomas D. Davenport, Jr., attorney for the Alexandria Civil Service Commission.
2. To discuss bill HLS-RS-204 and any other bills pertaining to the Alexandria Civil Service System. 

Public Safety/Transportation Committee meeting at 4:00 p.m. or immediately following

1. To hear an update from the Administration concerning the fire station relocation project. 

Utility Committee meeting at 4:15 p.m. or immediately following

1. To hear a report from the Administration concerning the power supply agreement as it relates to the utility rates.

Personnel/Insurance Committee meeting at 4:30 p.m. or immediately following

1. To hear a report from the Administration concerning the employee’s health insurance rates.
2. To hear a report from the Administration concerning the status on health insurance consultants.
