Dear Mayor:
This is the second addendum to the committee meetings schedule that will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in the City Council Chambers. All Council committee meetings shall begin at 3:30 pm unless otherwise designated.
Finance and Legal Affairs Committee at 3:30 pm
1) To consider final adoption of an ordinance to authorize the Mayor to renew and execute an Interagency Agreement with the Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College related to and concerning services from LSUA and the City of Alexandria related to the Alexandria Museum of Art and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.
2) To hear a presentation on the frivolous ethics complaint filed against Councilman Jones.
Utility Committee at 4:00 pm or immediately following
1) To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 26-62.1 of the City Code for Large Commercial/Industrial Natural Gas rate structure.
3) To hear a report from the Administration concerning tree trimming near utility lines on Levin Street.
Community Affairs Services and Events Committee at 4:10 pm or immediately following
1) To discuss community groups being denied to conduct voter registration during MLK Day Celebration and city building leasing agreement contract.
Public Safety, Works and Transportation Committee at 4:30 pm or immediately following
1) To hear a report from the Administration on the SPARC project at Bolton and Elliott Street.
2) To hear a report from the Administration concerning the status of MPAT Park completion date, hours of operation, and signage requested by Neighborhood Association.
Please have your staff note the change in format for the committee meetings done in compliance with R. S. 42.7. The Council has directed that the City Clerk may advise the public scheduling regarding committee meetings. It is always that the intention of the council to convene committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting may indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public. Have appropriate members from your Administration present for discussion.
