Dear Mayor:
These are the meetings scheduled to be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in the City Council Chambers. All meetings shall begin at 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise designated.
Utility Committee Meeting at 3:30 p.m.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance adding Section 7-28 (d) to the City Code of Ordinances relative to minor electrical projects within the City.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to renew an existing contract with Environmental Resources Management (ERM) for environmental engineering & consulting services for use by the Utility and Public Works Divisions.
Community Affairs, Services and Events Committee at 4:00 p.m. or immediately following
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for park signage improvements.
Public Safety, Works and Transportation Committee at 4:15 p.m. or immediately following
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the proposal received from Highway Graphics, Inc., for striping of public streets and other public properties.
Finance and Legal Affairs Committee at 4:30 p.m. or immediately following
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance establishing a processing/convenience fee, dependent upon the processing fee established by various credit card companies on a yearly basis to be assessed by all City divisions/department.
- To hear an update from the Administration concerning the “one-time salary supplement” for city employees.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with Joe Williams d/b/a The Pill Box to operate a pharmacy at the Martin Luther King library site.
Please have your staff note the change in format for the committee meetings done in the compliance with R.S. 42.7. The scheduling regarding committee meetings it is always that the intention of the council to convene committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting may indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public. Have appropriate members from your Administration present for discussion.
