Dear Mayor:
These are the meetings scheduled to be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in the City Council Chambers.  All meetings shall begin at 4:00 P.M. unless otherwise designated.

A & E Selection Committee Meeting at 4:00 P.M.

1)   Design Professional for DOT Public Awareness Program Management Services.

Finance and Legal Affairs Committee at 4:15 P.M. or immediately following

1)   To consider final adoption of an ordinance providing for a one-time pay supplement for those City of Alexandria Fire Fighters with three to twenty-three years of active service, to provide for formulation of policies necessary to implement same; and matters related thereto.

2)   To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with South Central Planning & Development to provide GPS tracking devices and monthly monitoring on seven City vehicles operated by the Inspectors and staff in the Construction Development department.

3)   To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with South Central Planning & Development to provide permitting and inspection software for the Planning Division.

4)   To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 26-24 (d), 26-62(e), 26-84(n), and 27.5-5(5) relative to infrastructure Renewal Assessment charges.

Please have your staff note the change in format for the committee meetings done in the compliance with R. S. 42.7.  The scheduling regarding committee meetings it is always that the intention of the Council to convene committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting may indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public.  Have appropriate members from your Administration present for discussion.
