1) Approval of minutes taken from regular meeting held 9/9 and two retreats held 2/7-8 and 5/13, 2008.
2) Introduction of an ordinance for operating supplies for the Electric Distribution department. Bids to be opened 9/23.
3) Introduction of an ordinance for one 20’ trash dump trailer for the Street department. Bids to be opened 9/23.
4) Introduction of an ordinance for construction of a wash rack for the Electric Distribution department. Bids to be opened 9/23.
5) Introduction of an ordinance for PCB & PCB contaminated equipment removal and disposal for the Electric Distribution department. Bids to be opened 9/23.
6) Introduction of an ordinance amending Chapter 28, Article II of the Alexandria City Code pertaining to definitions regarding community home, dormitory, group home, halfway house, lodging house, rooming house and special homes.
7) Introduction of an ordinance amending Chapter 28, Article III of the Alexandria City Code regarding permitted uses and special exceptions for community home, elderly housing, group home, halfway house and special homes.
8) Introduction of an ordinance repealing Section 28-3.24 Use Regulations Schedule of the Alexandria City Code.
9) Introduction of an ordinance annexing a 4.30 acre tract of land located adjacent to Good Earth Subdivision, Lebanon Subdivision and Bocage Subdivision in Sections 85 and 86.
10) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a lease agreement with Tudor Companies for the temporary use of office space located at 301 Jackson Street.
11) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Charlie Anderson to facilitate, as Site Coordinator, programming for the Area 4 Weed and Seed Initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice.
12) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Pineville to promote and sponsor Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday, October 11, 2008, in Pineville.
13) RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for wire and cable for the Electric Distribution department.
14) RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for park improvements and spray grounds for City Park, Cheatham Park and Harmon Park.
15) RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for Versailles Boulevard street and drainage improvements, Phase 2, Package 4.
F. ORDINANCES FOR FINAL ADOPTION
SUBJECT TO PUBLIC HEARING
16) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for LA Highway 28 West street lighting additions, Phase II.
17) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for three phase padmount transformers.
18) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for cast/ductile iron & related accessories for a six month period.
19) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for annual uniform bid for public safety for use by the Fire and Police departments.
20) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for water meters for a six month period.
21) To consider final adoption of an ordinance rezoning property from “I-1” Light Industrial district to “SF-3” Single Family high density zoning district to permit a higher density of residential use from KEH Construction to build a duplex.
22) To consider final adoption of an ordinance rezoning property from “SF-2” Single Family moderate density district to “SF-3” Single family high density zoning district to permit a higher density of residential use allowing Mark Parker to build duplexes on Prescott Road on Lots 8 and 9 between Linda and Gay Road.
PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING COMMITTEE
23) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor on behalf of the City of Alexandria to enter into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with Enterprise Place and to authorize a “Home” affordable rental housing program regulatory agreement related to a HUD grant award recipient and for the City to accept a note and mortgage to secure performance related thereto. 24) To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending 2008/2009 operating budget for storm preparedness. (PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING 9/23)
