- Approval of minutes taken from meeting held 6/29.
- Introduction of an ordinance amending 2010-2011 operating budget for positions in the Utility Services department.
- Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into general lease agreements in the amount of no more than $5000.00 a year for the use of office equipment and/or machines within various city departments.
- Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a written Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with Central LA Education & Youth Development, Inc. to provide a community program for city youth.
- Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a lease agreement with Advance Office Systems for the monthly rental of a printer for the Utility Division.
- Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the quote received from Premier Chemicals & Services for caustic soda for use by the Electric Production department.
- Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to renew the existing multiple contracts for emergency tree, stump and limb removal services for a twelve month period.
- Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to renew the existing contract with Ceres Environmental Services, Deep South Organics, Southern Environmental Specialist and Tag Grinding Services for emergency debris reduction services.
- Introduction of an ordinance authorizing revocation of a 50’ wide right of way for Natchez Street from Hudson Boulevard to Tulane Avenue in Goldonna Subdivision.
- Introduction of an ordinance declaring two 199.9 square foot parcels of land located at the intersection of Natchez Street and Hudson Boulevard as surplus property.
- Introduction of an ordinance authorizing Supplemental Agreement No. 2 for engineering services for Tangent Rail reinforced concrete box for Durawood drainage improvements - Phase 3.
- Introduction of an ordinance rezoning properties located at 2708 and 2714 Culpepper Road as requested by Lloyd Paul Maxwell, from “SF-2” Single Family moderate density district to “MF-2”, Multifamily moderate density district to allow for a multifamily dwelling unit. (ZONING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL)
- RESOLUTION authorizing the Alexandria Police department to apply for funding from the LA Commission on Law Enforcement for a DARE state grant.
- RESOLUTION authorizing advertisement for bids for repainting of D.G. Hunter Units 3 and 4 step-up transformers.
F. SPECIAL RECOGNITION - To consider adoption of a resolution memorializing the life of the Honorable George M. Foote, Judge of City Court for the City of Alexandria.
- To consider adoption of a resolution memorializing the life of Mr. William H. (Bill) deLaunay, Jr., Judge Pro Tempore of the Alexandria City Court.
G. ORDINANCES FOR FINAL ADOPTION SUBJECT TO PUBLIC HEARING - To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for Enterprise Road sidewalk improvements. Bids to be opened 7/13.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for Masonic Drive redevelopment, Phase 1A, Package 3. Bids to be opened 7/13.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for Llewellyn ditch drainage improvements for Phase II.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for plastic refuse bags for a twelve month period.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for treated wood poles for a twelve month period.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract and ancillary agreements with Solid Resources for emergency debris management services. (A & E SELECTION RECOMMENDED)
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the surplus and deposit of surplus property, K-9 police dog “Arco”, in lieu of surplus sale or euthanization.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing Change Order No. 1 for Rylee Contracting for Robin Road sewer improvements project.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a written Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with Cenla Community Action Committee in support of a comprehensive medical, dental, education, nutrition and social services offered to local children and their families.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a written Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with Linda Williams for the purpose of facilitating a community youth music program.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a written Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the Rapides Senior Citizens Center in support of a comprehensive program designed to assist area senior citizens.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a written Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with Re-Entry solutions for the purpose of coordinating existing community resources and the development of needed resources to assist ex-offenders and local U.S. Veterans.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with DPS-Financial Resources & Solutions for bookkeeping and tax services for the Alexandria Festival Association.
PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING COMMITTEE - To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing Supplemental Agreement No. 4 for engineering services for Southern Heights subdivision drainage improvements. (PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING 7/13)
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE - To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Megan Harrison Lord to serve as a part-time Executive Director for the Alexandria Historic Preservation Commission. (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT 7/13)
FINANCE COMMITTEE - To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the purchase of two (2) 35’ buses by “piggybacking” off the contract with the City of Lafayette. (FINANCE 7/13)
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Professional Agreement with Willis Engineering for the design of Green Oak Avenue street and drainage improvements. (FINANCE 7/13)
