Council Meeting Minutes (Special Session) - 2009-03-17

PROCEEDINGS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD MARCH 17, 2009.

The Council of the City of Alexandria, Louisiana, met in special meeting session at its regular meeting place, on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 9:00 A.M. There were present the Honorable Everett C. Hobbs, Chuck Fowler, Harry B. Silver, Roosevelt Johnson, Myron K. Lawson and Jonathan D. Goins. Absent was Ed Larvadain, III. Also present were Mayor Jacques M. Roy, Assistant City Attorney Trey Gist, Finance Director David Crutchfield and City Clerk Nancy L. Thiels.

The Council of the City of Alexandria, State of Louisiana, was duly convened as the governing authority of said City by the Honorable Myron K. Lawson, who stated that the Council was ready for the transaction of business.

The first item on the agenda was to receive the Mayor’s proposed 2009/2010 operating and capital budgets. It was stated that the public hearing would be held on the above item on Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

There was no further discussion to come before the Council in special session, the Finance committee was called to order by Chairman Everett Hobbs.

There being no further business to come before the Council, on motion properly seconded, the meeting was adjourned.
