Children’s Day at the Tom Peyton Memorial Arts Festival

2727 Jackson St., 9:30a.m., 10:30a.m. and 11a.m.  Sponsored by Tom Peyton Memorial Arts Festival at First United Methodist Church, Alexandria.  Children ages 6 months to toddlers can come to one of two sessions of Words by the Handful, baby sign language with Mimi Brian Vance.  At 11a.m. children of all ages can hear noted storyteller Dee Scallan and enjoy an interactive romp through her children’s book “Moby Pincher’s New Orleans Adventure.”  This activity will be followed by lunch.  Cost:  Admission free, pre-registration available online at www.fumca.org/artsfestival .  Call Jennifer Wright:  443-5696.
