AlexWinterFête resumes at 10 a.m. in downtown Alexandria with ice skating, Santa Claus, approximately 200 arts and crafts and food vendors, Indie Village, live musical performances and tons of family-friendly activities. Saturday highlights include a Gumbo Cook-Off, Caroling Karaoke, a cookie eating contest, the Alexandria Museum of Art's Luminary Procession at 6 p.m. and a fabulous fireworks display over the Red River at 10 p.m. Live musical performers scheduled on the main stage include John Ledeau at 2 p.m., the Side Men at 3:30 p.m., Cenla Brass Band at 6 p.m. and Rockin' Dopsie Jr. and the Zydeco Twisters at 8:30 p.m. For more information go online to www.alexwinterfete.com
