City Park Players presents: Talking With . . . - by Jane Martin
Talking With... is a collection of sharp, bittersweet portraits of women, many of whom have reacted to disappointments by melting into private worlds. Idiosyncratic characters amuse, move, and frighten, always speaking from the depths of their souls. These eleven ten-minute monologues include a baton twirler, a fundamentalist snake handler, an ex-rodeo rider, and an actress willing to go to any length to get a job. It premiered at the Manhattan Theatre Club in New York in 1982 and has been performed around the world.
