Louisiana Craft Beer breweries will meet up once again in Alexandria, Louisiana to share their brews with you, and go head-to-head in multiple categories, and you pick the winners! Praised as one of the top beer events in Louisiana, our annual Craft Brews, BBQ, & Blues Summer fundraiser, featuring CENLA’s original Craft Beer competition, returns on August 17, 2019.

Now in its 7th year, we have once again invited Louisiana Craft Breweries to compete in five categories: Dark, Ale, IPA, Specialty, and People’s Choice. The competition will feature popular beers currently available here, as well as some beers never before offered in Alexandria. Guests will sample these great brews and decide where their vote will go, and who will take home the ribbons this year. For the second year, Alexandria will be represented in the competition with Huckleberry Brewing and Twenty8 West Brewing, with Natchitoches and Ruston stepping up to the plate as Cane River Brewing and Union Brewing Company accept the challenge. Food will be provided by local Barbequers sweating it out in the barbeque cook-off.

In addition to the Craft Beers, five local barbecue teams will be on site cooking up their best dishes to pit against each other when the event is opened to ticket holders. Attendees will also be able to try all of the dishes and vote for their favorites. To top it all off, the evening will revolve around live music. This year’s entertainers will be Tiffany Pollack & CO. from New Orleans, a 5-piece jazz band led by the smooth and sultry vocals of Tiffany Pollack.
