Beauchamp-Byrd, Professor of Art History at Xavier University, will examine Richard Dempsey’s prolific body of abstractions, charting how his work had been shaped by extensive travels and will also consider the artist’s engagement with the Washington D.C. based “Little Paris Studio” founded in 1946.
