Dear Mayor:
These are the meetings scheduled to be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 in the City Council Chambers. All meetings shall begin at 4:15 p.m. unless otherwise designated.
Utility Committee Meeting at 4:15 p.m.
1) To hear from Mr. Huey Clay concerning utility bills and refund on the lawsuit.
Personnel Committee Meeting at 4:30 p.m. or immediately following
1) RESOLUTION appointing B.D. Douglas to the Alexandria Housing Authority.
Finance and Legal Affairs Committee at 4:45 p.m. or immediately following
1) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the proposal received from Core Business Technologies for one-step cashier program with ipayment.
2) To consider final adoption of an ordinance revoking prior authorization of the City Attorney to tender funds and/or obtain satisfaction of the judgment in favor of Craig Davidson, Jr. in Civil Suit No. 05-1121, entitled “City of Alexandria v. Cleco et al, and providing for a date certain at which said appropriation, per Ordinance No. 158-2012, will lapse within 30 days in the event the parties do not execute all documents necessary to perfect a settlement of all claims against the City filed by Mr. Davidson.
Please have your staff note the change in format for the committee meetings done in the compliance with R. S. 42.7. The Council has directed that the City Clerk may advise the public scheduling regarding committee meetings. It is always that the intention of the council to convene committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting many indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public. Have appropriate members from your Administration present for discussion.
