These are the meetings scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the City Council Chambers. All meetings shall begin at 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise designated.
Utility Committee Meeting at 4:00 p.m.
1) To hear a report from the Administration correcting non-payment of utility services, including payment plans and extensions.
Finance and Legal Committee Meeting at 4:30 p.m. or immediately following
1) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to establish standard practice and procedures to create uniformity, economy, efficiency and effectiveness in the proper management and accounting of grants including but not limited to federal, state and local sources.
2) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental Agreement with the Rapides Parish Police Jury and the Rapides Gravity Drainage District #1 in order to obtain certain grant funds or financing available through the State of Louisiana and otherwise provide relative to, contracting, supervision and construction of improvements to the drainage systems within their respective jurisdictions and other related matters and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.
3) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to approve the Starfield Technologies, Inc. extended validation Certificate Service Subscriber Agreement for Information Systems department.
4) To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending 2012-2013 operating budget for positions in the Utility Division.
5) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a grant agreement with the Louisiana Housing Corporation.
Please have your staff note the change in format for the committee meetings done in the compliance with R. S. 42.7. The Council has directed that the City Clerk may advise the public scheduling regarding committee meetings. It is always that the intention of the council to convene committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting may indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public. Have appropriate members from your Administration present for discussion.
