These are the meetings scheduled to be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 in the City Council Chambers. All meetings shall begin at p.m. unless otherwise designated.
Utility Committee Meeting at 3:00 p.m.
- To hear a report from the Administration correcting non-payment of utility services, including payment plans and extensions.
Economic Workforce & Planning Development Committee Meeting at 3:30 p.m. immediately following
- To hear an update report from Clifford Moller, Executive Director of GAEDA.
Public Safety, Works and Transportation Committee Meeting at 4:00 p.m. or immediately following
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Gregory Saville d/b/a Alteration, LLC to provide consulting services regarding neighborhood safety and crime prevention for safeAlex.
Finance & Legal Affairs Committee Meeting at 4:15 p.m. or immediately following
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Molly Britt to provide services for the Outdoors Alexandria Festival conjunction with the Community Services Division.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance adopting the Operating Budget for the City of Alexandria for fiscal year 2013/2014, to make appropriations for the ordinary expenses of all City divisions, departments, offices and agencies, pensions and otherwise providing with respect to the expenditures of appropriations; adopting the Capital Budget for the City of Alexandria for fiscal year 2013/2014; appropriating funds for the Capital Budget for the City of Alexandria for fiscal year 2013/2014 and providing for capital expenditures; and other matters with respect to appropriations, priorities regarding same and the expenditure of funds pertaining thereto.
Please have your staff note the change in format for the committee meetings done in the compliance with R. S. 42.7. The Council has directed that the City Clerk may advise the public scheduling regarding committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting may indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public. Have appropriate members from your Administration present for discussion.
