6) Introduction of an ordinance for pre-engineered metal storage building at downtown electric substation
for the Electric Distribution department. Bids to be opened 10/7.
7) Introduction of an ordinance amending 2008/2009 operating budget for the Alexandria Riverfront Center.
8) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to renew the existing Professional Services Agreement with R.W. Beck to assist the City in energy markets consulting, utility system facilities planning, finance and economic analysis, power and energy forecasts, transmission system analysis and rates and regulatory support.
9) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing Amendment No. 4 to the Agreement for Professional Services with Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson, Inc. regarding Highway 28 West pumping station and gravity sewer project.
10) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing acceptance of street and drainage improvements for Ansley Boulevard Extension, Phase II in The Lake District Subdivision.
11) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to renew existing contract for ready mix concrete for use by various city departments.
12) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the lowest quote received for hydrogen for use at D.G. Hunter Power Plant.
13) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the lowest quote received for hydrochloric acid for the Electric Production department.
14) Introduction of an ordinance rezoning 3434 Lee Street as requested by Checkerboard Restaurants V, Inc., represented by Scott Sebastian from “I-1” Light Industrial district to “C-1” Limited Commercial district for the purpose of opening a restaurant.
15) Introduction of an ordinance rezoning 5425 Broadmoor Court as requested by Margie Honore’, from “SF-2” Single Family Moderate Density District to “SF-2/MHO”, Single Family Moderate Density with a Mobile Home Overlay district for the purpose of housing a mobile home.
16) Introduction of an ordinance rezoning 3631 Evergreen Drive as requested by James Thomassee from “SF-2” Single Family Moderate Density District to “SF-3” Single Family High Density District for the purpose of housing a duplex.
17) RESOLUTION authorizing the Water and Wastewater departments to accept, maintain and operate the proposed water and sanitary sewer improvements for Carlyle Place Subdivision.
18) RESOLUTION authorizing the Water and Wastewater departments to accept, maintain and operate the proposed water and sanitary sewer improvements for Stratford Manor Subdivision.

22) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for water meters for a six month period.
23) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for operating supplies for the Electric Distribution department.
24) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for one 20’ trash dump trailer for the Street department.
25) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for PCB & PCB contaminated equipment removal and disposal for the Electric Distribution department.
26) To consider final adoption of an ordinance annexing a 4.30 acre tract of land located adjacent to Good Earth Subdivision, Lebanon Subdivision and Bocage Subdivision in Sections 85 and 86.
27) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a lease agreement with Tudor Companies for the temporary use of office space located at 301 Jackson Street.
28) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Charlie Anderson to facilitate, as Site Coordinator, programming for the Area 4 Weed and
Seed Initiative supported by the United States Department of Justice.
29) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Pineville to promote and sponsor Household Hazardous Waste Day on Saturday,
October 11, 2008, in Pineville.
30) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing Change Order No. 4 for Program A – Roadside
Open Ditch Closures - 2006.

31) To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending Chapter 28, Article II of the Alexandria City Code pertaining to definitions regarding community home, dormitory, group home, halfway house, lodging house, rooming house and special homes. (LEGAL 10/7)
32) To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending Chapter 28, Article III of the Alexandria City Code regarding permitted uses and special exceptions for community home, elderly housing, group home, halfway house and special homes. (LEGAL 10/7)
