1) Approval of minutes taken from regular meeting held 7/15 and special meeting held 7/15.
2) Introduction of an ordinance for one armored swat bearcat vehicle for the Alexandria Police department. Bids to be opened 7/29.
3) Introduction of an ordinance for two pneumatic type capacity forklifts for Motor Pool and Central Warehouse departments. Bids to be opened 7/29.
4) Introduction of an ordinance for combination sewer & storm drain cleaning truck for the Street department. Bids to be opened 7/29.
5) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a written cooperative endeavor agreement with Communications Corporation of America to co-sponsor “Movies on the Red” at the downtown Amphitheater, July 17, 24, 31 and August 7.
6) Introduction of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid received for the construction contract with Apeck Construction Company for the Bayou Rapides Multi-Use Trail Phase 1B project.

26) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Lose & Associates, Inc. for the development of a comprehensive parks and recreation plan.
27) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for LSUA – Business Education Center.
28) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for janitorial chemicals for a six month period.
29) To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending 2008/2009 operating budget moving an unclassified Administrative Assistant position from the Mayor’s office to the Director of Finance.
30) To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending 2008/2009 operating budget for a wash rack at the Electric Distribution department.
31) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with the Alexandria Dixie Girls Softball Program to host and co-sponsor the 2008 Dixie Girls World Series.
32) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a Research Agreement with Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College for the purpose of using the LSU C4G GULFNET Geodetic infrastructure.
33) To consider final adoption of an ordinance annexing a 13.03 acre tract of land to be developed as part of Bocage Subdivision, Phase V, located in Section 86, Township 4 North, Range 1 West.
34) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing acceptance of the subdivision plat for Bocage Subdivision, Phase V, Lots 203-252.
35) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with Yamaha for the lease of seventy (70) golf carts for the Links on the Bayou golf course.

36) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute Change Order No. 1 with Rylee Construction, Inc. in connection with the Versailles Boulevard extension, Phase 1, sewer trunk main project. (PUBLIC WORKS/ZONING 7/29)
37) To consider final adoption of an ordinance rezoning property owned by John Bernard for 1700 Jackson Street at Bolton Avenue from “B-3” General Business district to “C-2” General commercial zoning district permitting a sign to be moved 30 feet onto the property. 38) To consider final adoption of an ordinance rezoning property owned by Charles Smoots at 3003 and 3009 Third Street from “C-2” General Commercial district to “SF-3” Single family (high density) zoning district to permit the building of two duplexes. 39) To consider final adoption of an ordinance rezoning property owned by North River Properties at 1439 England Drive from “C-2” General Commercial district to “SF-1” Single family low density zoning district to permit the continuation of perpetual single family status. 40) To consider final adoption of an ordinance to amend and re-enact Section 17-7 of the Alexandria Code of Ordinances relative to junk, second hand dealers, pawnbrokers and scrap metal dealers; to provide for purchase records required; to enact Section 17-7.1 to provide relative to daily records required of scrap metal purchases and daily reports to be filed; required information; retention requirements; and to set penalties; to amend and re-enact Section 17-8 and provide exceptions; to amend and re-enact Section 17-9 relative to the retention and inspection of records and electronic data entries; to enact Section 17-11.1 to define second hand dealers; to provide for records of transactions and reports to be filed; to set penalties and provide for suspension and revocations of licenses; to enact Section 17-13 relative to second hand dealers to prohibit the disposal and changing identity of items purchased during a thirty day period; and otherwise provide with respect thereto.
