Dear Mayor: 

These are the meetings scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in the City Council Chambers. All meetings shall begin at 4:00 P.M. unless otherwise designated. 

Finance and Legal Affairs Committee at 4:30 P.M. or immediately following

1) To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a professional services agreement with Linage Law Firm.

2) To consider final adoption of an ordinance regarding gaming, bingo and video bingo and the City of Alexandria's bingo halls and expansion of gaming, charitable or for profit; limiting the expansion of bingo halls and gaming, charitable or for profit within the City of Alexandria; prohibiting new commercial lessors of bingo halls and gaming places; providing certain strictures with regard to expansion activities of existing bingo halls and gaming tenants; to provide for hearings and amendments to licenses for existing license holders and otherwise to provide with respect thereto; to set limitations on locations; and other matters with respect thereto.

Please have your staff note the change in format for the committee meetings done in compliance with R.S. 42.7. The scheduling regarding committee meetings is always with the intention of the Council to convene committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting may indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public. Please have appropriate members from your Administration present for discussion.
