Special Session
PROCEEDINGS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALEXANDRIA, LOUISIANA, STATE OF LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT A SPECIAL MEETING HELD OCTOBER 19, 2010.
The Council of the City of Alexandria, Louisiana, met in special meeting session at its regular meeting place, on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers.
There were present the Honorable Roosevelt L. Johnson, Ed Larvadain, III, Chuck Fowler, Everett C. Hobbs and Harry B. Silver. Absent were Myron K. Lawson and Jonathan D. Goins. Also present was City Clerk Nancy L. Thiels.
The Council of the City of Alexandria, State of Louisiana, was duly convened as the governing authority of said City by the Honorable Roosevelt L. Johnson, who stated that the Council was ready for the transaction of business.
EXECUTIVE SESSION TO BE HELD PURSUANT TO R.S. 42:6.1 (A) (2) ON THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
The first item on the agenda was to hear from the City Attorney to discuss litigation strategy and status of the following:
a. City of Alexandria v. John Sharp and Craig Davidson, 05-1121A
b. Steve Coco v. City of Alexandria, 239, 520 Div. C
c. EMS v. City of Alexandria (public records), 239, 499 Div. A
d. EMS v. City of Alexandria (contract suit), 10-1344
e. Franklin v. City of Alexandria, 07-1011
f. Bridget Brown v. City of Alexandria, 05-1121A
A motion was made by Mr. Fowler and seconded by Mr. Hobbs to go into Executive Session. A roll call vote was called for and resulted as follows:
YEAS: Fowler, Larvadain, Hobbs, Johnson, Silver.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Lawson and Goins.
ABSTAIN: None.
Out of session
A motion was made by Mr. Silver and seconded by Mr. Hobbs to come out of Executive Session. A roll call vote was called for and resulted as follows:
YEAS: Silver, Larvadain, Lawson, Hobbs, Johnson.
NAYS: None.
ABSENT: Fowler and Goins.
ABSTAIN: None.
There being no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned.
