City Offices Closed Thursday, July 4
Alexandria, La. (June 28, 2019)—The City of Alexandria Customer Service Office, City Hall and other city offices and departments will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
ATRANS bus service will be closed Thursday, July 4, and resume operation on Friday, July 5.
The sanitation schedule will run as follows: Thursday, July 4, garbage will be collected on Wednesday, July 3, and regular pickup resumes on Friday, July 5.
The City of Alexandria wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday. Please remember lighting fireworks is prohibited inside the city.
Rock the Red, an annual City of Alexandria July 4 celebration, will be held from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. downtown with fireworks beginning around 9 p.m. at the Alexandria Riverfront Amphitheater.
