Alexandria prepared for Barry
Alexandria, La. (July 11, 2019)— Alexandria Utilities Service restored power to 85 residents as of 6 p.m. due to early bands of weather in the area. We expect additional outages overnight. As the weather moves in, residents should remain at home and off the streets. Alexandria Police Department worked an average of one accident per hour Saturday.
The City has prepared and continues to monitor the weather. The Alexandria Emergency Operations Center will remain open 24-hours a day for the duration of the storm recovery. Residents can report non-emergency issues there by calling 318-441-6231 or by using the AlexConnects app.
