Bolton Avenue Community Clean Up Set July 27
Alexandria, La. (July 18, 2019)— A Community Clean Up, sponsored by the Bolton Avenue Neighborhood Watch Group, will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
“It’s important to help keep our neighborhoods clean,” said Mayor Jeffrey Hall. “This helps keep up morale, helps us get to know our neighbors and improves our quality of life. When we work together as a community, we can accomplish just about anything.”
Community Clean Up events are an opportunity for residents and local businesses to positively impact their neighborhood simply by picking up trash. It also can help reassure other members of the community that they are cared for and that the spaces they live and work in are important.
“We will meet up at the Bolton Avenue Community Center on Saturday morning and then head out in groups to clean up our neighborhood,” said Winnie Marshall, president of the Bolton Avenue Neighborhood Watch Group. “I hope to see a large turnout not only so we can get a lot done, but so we can all get to know one another better.”
After the clean up, volunteers will be served refreshments at the Community Center.
