Dear Mayor:
This is the committee meetings schedule that will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the City Council Chambers. All Council committee meetings shall begin at 3:00 p.m. unless otherwise designated.
Finance and Legal Affairs Committee Meeting at 3:00 p.m.
- To hear a report from the Administration concerning the fiscal status of the City of Alexandria.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing 2011-2012 Major Budget Amendment.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to execute a Master Lease Agreement and other related documents between the City and Wells Fargo Financial Leasing for the lease of equipment for the maintenance of various golf and athletic complexes throughout the City.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with IPayment for the acceptance of credit cards by the Planning Division.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to renew existing contract with Lott Oil Company for vehicle and equipment fuel bid.
- To consider final adoption of an ordinance declaring certain police motorcycles surplus and authorizing disposal of said motorcycles that are no longer needed for equipment for patrol use for Alexandria Police department.
- Resolution retroactively ratifying and acknowledging all official acts of the appointee to Council District Number Three since the date of appointment.
Economic, Workforce and Planning Development Committee Meeting at 4:30 p.m. or immediately following
- To hear from the Administration to explain the process dilapidate structures, costs and steps for structures.
- To hear from the City Attorney concerning legal issues of loitering and trash in front of commercial property.
Please have your staff note the change in format for the committee meetings done in compliance with R. S. 42.7. The Council has directed that the always that the intention of the council to convene committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting may indicate otherwise for convenience of the public. Have appropriate members from your Administration present for discussion.
