City, Alexandria Police Release Body Cam Video from Hospital Incident
Alexandria, La. (July 2, 2020) — The City of Alexandria, along with the Alexandria Police Department, released video footage from an incident that occurred June 26 at a local area hospital in which an APD officer was briefly knocked unconscious while trying to arrest a suspect for failure to leave the premises after being forbidden.
Alexandria Police Chief Jerrod King waked reporters through the incident, explaining the officer’s actions. Following the presentation, King and Alexandria Mayor Jeffrey W. Hall answered questions.
