These are the committee meetings schedule to be held on Tuesday March 20, 2012 in the City Council Chambers. All Council committee meetings shall begin at 3:30 p.m. unless otherwise designated.
Finance and Legal Affairs Committee Meeting at 3:30p.m
1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for Masonic Drive at Horseshoe intersection improvements.
2. To consider final adoption of an ordinance amending 2011/2012 capital budget for the state portion of the MPO project.
3. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the donation of a temporary construction servitude in Lot 4 of Block 1 to Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development for the construction of a new pedestrian access to the Jackson Street bridge.
Utility Committee Meeting at 3:45p.m. or immediately following
1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for operating supplies for the Electric Distribution department.
2. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the Mayor to accept the low bid submitted for trimming & removal of trees and limbs around high voltage lines for the Electric Distribution department.
Economic, Workforce and Planning Development Committee meeting at 4:00 p.m. or immediately following
1. To discuss Mayor’s memo on Que’in on the Red Festival. (Written comments or 2 minutes if you wish to comment).
Public Safety, Works and Transportation Committee Meeting at 4:30 p.m. or immediately following
1. To consider final adoption of an ordinance authorizing the surplus and deposit of surplus property, K-9 police dog, “Euro” in lieu of surplus sale or authorization to its handler.
Please have your staff note the change in format for the committee meetings done in compliance with R. S. 42.7. The Council has directed that the City Clerk may advise the public scheduling regarding committee meetings. It is always that the intention of the council to convene committee meetings at the conclusion of the prior committee meeting unless the chairman of the meeting may indicate otherwise for the convenience of the public. Have appropriate members from your Administration present for discussion.
