Mayor Thanks Agencies for Bomb Investigation Support
Alexandria, La. (Jan. 8, 2020) — On January 2, the Alexandria Police Department responded to a report of an explosion outside a business on MacArthur Drive. Numerous agencies, including state and federal investigators, joined in the investigation which lasted for several days, culminating in a person of interest being taken into custody Monday night.
“I want to thank the partner agencies that assisted in this joint investigation, especially the FBI, ATF, the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police,” said Alexandria Mayor Jeffrey W. Hall. “Their experience and expertise was critical to the swift conclusion of this case. We are grateful for their support to help ensure the safety of our citizens.”
