Residents Asked to Conserve Water Overnight

City of Alexandria water customers are asked to conserve water overnight to replenish the city water supply. “I know people are wanting to drip water tonight to prevent freezing pipes,” said Utility System Director Michael Marcotte. “A small drip to keep pipes from freezing is OK, but we need residents to minimize any other use of water overnight to allow the system to refill. This is a short term situation and should be rectified overnight. We appreciate everyone’s help.”
