AMoA visiting artist Phoenix Savage will speak about and lead a discussion of possible ways artists can find or create new channels of aesthetic creations in our crowded technological environment.

Participants will give back to the community, by designing and creating an original piece of art from sneakers. Participants will work together to choose a charity, and the Art Kicks will be auctioned off at a later date to benefit the chosen charity.

AMoA welcomes home three African American artists from Louisiana who have broken state boundaries, becoming successful nationwide. The works of Malaika Favorite, Phoenix Savage and Cullen Washington, Jr. surpasses racial and cultural boundaries in their artistic themes and have encouraged others to do the same.
