Louisiana State University of Alexandria and the City of Alexandria are offering a FREE ACT Prep event that is open to all students. The program will cover important points for students as they prepare for the upcoming statewide ACT for all high school Juniors on March 17. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity!
This FREE Health Symposium is geared for women of color, ages 18+, to give awareness of a better lifestyle. Speakers will be local healthcare providers that will educate on topics such as heart health, blood pressure & diabetes, Sexually transmitted diseases & HIV prevention, Mental Health care, and STD's & Hepatitis C. Free blood pressure and blood "sugar" checks provided by Blue Cliff College students. Snack and drinks. Free goody bags will be provided for the first 50 ladies in attendance. The Women in History Cavanaugh lecture is an annual event hosted by Rapides Parish Library in partnership with LSUA in honor of Women's History Month. This years speaker, LSU Professor Alecia P. Long presents what the history of Storyville can tell us about the history of women in Louisiana.
