The USDA Forest Service and Kent Plantation House invite children of all ages to the 15th Annual Kent House Bug & Reptile Day at the Kent Plantation House, 3601 Bayou Rapides Road, Alexandria, LA, on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 9 AM - 1 PM. Admission is $2 for all ages 3 and up. (CASH ONLY, please.) There will be bug and reptile encounters galore. Come hold a bug or even eat one if you dare! Watch a scorpion glow in the dark, pet an alligator, play games, make a craft, watch a movie or purchase pet rocks. Concessions will also be available for purchase.

LaFASA is hosting a community awareness fair in recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Come join LaFASA for fun, food, games, and to see the resources that are in your community. LaFASA, LSU-A, STAR, and so many more agencies will have tents and games to play. This event is family focused, and community members of all ages are invited to attend!

This free event is open to youths ages 12-18. This event will focus on issues that effect our youth. Workshops will focus on etiquette, mental health, money management, CPR, and more. Lunch will be provided. Guest speakers are Mothers of Murder Sons/daughters.
