AFD Training Division
The Training Division offices are located at 1000 Bolton Avenue at the main administration building. They are staffed with a Fire and EMS training officer. Maintaining an on-going training program to meet the requirements for a class 2 department and keeping members updated is paramount.
Most classes are conducted in-house and are designed to support the mission of the Alexandria Fire Department and also meet NFPA standards and National Registry standards. Specialized classes in Confined Space Rescue and high Angle Rope Rescue are also provided.
