Mark your calendars for the FUNKIEST festival in Central Louisiana. The 4th Annual Funktoberfest will be held on October 6, 2018. This non-profit festival showcases craft beer samples from professional micro-breweries, a home brewers competition with sampling and incredible live music.

Funktoberfest is proudly brought to you again by a group of amazing sponsors, enthusiasts of craft beer, music, and the arts. We collectively share the desire to give back to the community in which we live.

Funtoberfest VIPs get in at 2 p.m. avoiding lines for limited supply brews and General Admission will begin at 3 pm. Attendees vote with their dollars for the “People’s Choice” award during the Homebrewer competition. Money raised will benefit the Tipitina’s Foundation. The homebrews will be judged by each homebrewer and a “Top Brewer” will be awarded.

The first three Funktoberfests were LEGENDARY. The non-profit event has raised close to $50,000 for TIPITINA'S INSTRUMENTS A' COMIN PROGRAM. Every penny stayed right here in OUR community.

Our local school music programs are counting on you to attend the most Funktabulous Party! You know we have a good time RAIN or SHINE! This year is going to be bigger and better with many new enhancements to the overall experience. Don't miss out on a VIP experience like no other.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

This is a family-friendly event but you must be 21 or older to sample. ID's WILL BE CHECKED. Don't leave it at home.

What is the difference in a VIP Admission and General Admission?

VIP Admission - $100

Is there food available?

Yes! Some of Louisiana's favorites

I don't like beer but my friends do, what can I drink?

No worries, Jack's Drinks will be onsite pouring your favorite frozen drinks, cocktails and other libations. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

CAN BRING...a lawn chair, a hat, sunscreen or maybe a poncho... either way it will be a FUNKY GOOD TIME!

CAN'T BRING...Please, no outside food or drink.

What about parking?

Parking will be limited near the event, and Spirits Food & Friends parking lot will be barricaded and only available to staff, vendors, and artists. We recommend carpooling, riding bikes, or public transportation. Please be respectful of area businesses and our neighbors in the garden district when choosing a parking spot.

What if it rains?

Funktoberfest is a rain or shine event. Drinking awesome craft beer and listening to great music for a great cause is a great idea!

I bought a ticket, when will I receive my wristband?

A photo ID and your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband the day of Funktoberfest at the check-in station in front of Spirits Food & Friends on Texas Ave. Check-in opens at 1pm. Gates at 2pm for VIP. 3pm for GA.
