Red River Chorale presents "A Festive Christmas" Concert
Nothing says Christmas like the Red River Chorale's annual Christmas concert. This delightful celebration, "A Festive Christmas," will be presented on Tuesday evening, December 13, 2011, at 7:30 P.M. in St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, located at 626 Fourth Street, in downtown Alexandria.
The centerpiece of this elegant concert will be Daniel Pinkham's vivacious "Christmas Cantata" for chorus and double-brass choir. In addition, the program will include exerpts from J.S. Bach's "Christmas Oratorio," and G.F. Handel's beloved "Messiah", as well as a number of carols, both sacred and secular.
What could make a lovelier evening than experiencing some of the world's finest Christmas music sung by Central Louisiana's only auditioned community chorus in the beautiful surroundings of the Cathedral?
Tickets are only $10 for adults and $5 for students and may be purchased from any Chorale member, from Red River Music, from the Chorale office at 484-4463, or at the door on a space-available basis. Due to the popularity of this concert, advance ticket purchase is highly recommended, as is calling the office before planning to purchase tickets at the door.
