1. Shooting fireworks is illegal inside the city, and bothers many of your neighbors and their pets. Please be courteous and do not shoot fireworks in Alexandria. We won’t catch everyone, but we might catch you, and you risk confiscation and hefty fines. Illegal use of fireworks can lead to unintended fires. 2. Alexandria, LA (12/22/2024)The Alexandria Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 2200 block of North MacArthur Drive.At approximately 6:21 PM, the Alexandria Fire Department was dispatched to 2211 North MacArthur Drive in response to a structure fire. The first unit arrived on the scene within three minutes of the initial alarm. AFD dispatched three engine companies, a ladder company, a medical unit, one district chief’s unit, and a fire investigator to the scene. The cause of the fire was determined to be arson.

At approximately 4:39 AM, the Alexandria Fire Department was dispatched to 3202 Garnett Street in response to a structure fire. The Alexandria Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 2500 block of Culpepper Drive. At approximately 1:23 PM, the Alexandria Fire Department and Rapides Fire District #2 were dispatched to 2504 Culpepper Drive in response to a structure fire.
