The first unit arrived on the scene within four minutes of the initial alarm time. A second alarm was struck due to temperatures at approximately 99F. (June 29, 2023) — Alexandria Utility System (“AUS”) Water Department crews have continued periodically flushing water mains inside Acadian Village subdivision to address sporadic discolored water complaints following last week’s annual fire hydrant flow testing. As a result, the Teen Center (formerly, the Boys & Girls Club) is being closed for inspection, thorough cleaning, and needed repairs.
